Inventory of homes for sale is down this week both new construction and resale homes. However, homes are taking longer to sell averaging 32 days on the market. Prices have been hovering around their plateau for several weeks. We saw the number of price reductions continue to increase this week.
What does all this mean? Fewer homes on the market is normal for this time of the year. Increasing number of price reductions indicates sellers are pricing their homes too high. It continues to be a seller’s market although moving towards a more balanced and sustainable market. It is a good time to buy or sell because you will have less competition.
